Willow hanging basket.
Students will learn how to make these lovely and useful baskets for the house or garden. They can be used for fat balls to feed the birds or in the kitchen to store garlic etc. They also look nice full of fairy lights.
All materials and tools are provided along with refreshments.
Students should wear old clothes and comfortable closed in footwear
Plant support and hanging basket.
Students will learn how to make these lovely and useful additions to the garden. The plant support will be around 6ft in height so please ensure you can fit the final piece in your car! The hanging basket can be used for fat balls in the garden for birds or in the kitchen to store garlic etc. They also look nice full of fairy lights.
All materials and tools are provided along with refreshments. Students should bring their own lunch and wear old warm clothes. Preferably trousers and closed in shoes.
The workshop will be held at the Clare Castle country park, Malting Lane, Clare, Sudbury, CO10 8NW.
The park is a beautiful, quiet space to relax. It contains the remains of a 13th stone castle. There are footpaths running along the River Stour and the old railway line. The Old Good shed is one of the railway buildings. Now converted into a light and airy space to create.

Students will learn how to make these elegant willow frame baskets. Using traditional techniques students will be taught how to control the willow to create the narrow form using a randing weave. They will also learn a knot to secure the ends of the piece.
All materials and tools are provided along with refreshments.
