I am working on a hedgehog house design to run as a course next year. I just need to make sure the dimensions are right for the entrance and living space.

I’m quite pleased with how it’s turned out. It’s really sturdy and will make a cosy home once stuffed with some leaves.

It all started with a lovely lady asking me to repair her family’s crib. It’s made of cane and is around 100 years old. I love repairing baskets, it just feels right. Looking after things, not throwing them away is something we should all be doing as much as possible.

It was a really satisfying job and I’ll be happy to deliver it back to its owner next week just in time for its new occupant due imminently.

Anyway I decided to make a toy crib for up coming open studios and craft fair. One led to two and today I made a third. It’s easy to get carried away. I now need to make a few more mattresses, pillows and blankets and they’ll be all ready.
